September 15 was a big day for our small, family-run business. On that date, Zach and I made Rescue Recycle’s very first donation from our mail-in program, and it went straight to the animals.
We gave $1,000 to the Sabine Animal Shelter in Many, Louisiana to support their spay/neuter program. The gift included $500 raised from the first two quarters of 2025, and an owner’s match of another $500 to double the impact.

Why does this matter?
Because spay/neuter saves lives. These funds help the shelter provide 25 vouchers each month for spay/neuter, microchipping, and rabies vaccines for pets in the community.
That means fewer unwanted litters, fewer animals entering the shelter, and more healthy pets staying at home where they belong.
How Your Devices Made This Possible

Since launching our mail-in program in January 2025, you have trusted us with your old electronics.
Here’s what we’ve done together so far:
- 62 shipments received
- 109 pounds of non-refurbishable devices safely recycled
- 107 devices successfully refurbished and given a new life
- 80 refurbished devices sold to fund animal care
- $1,000 donated to kick off our shelter support

Every phone, tablet, or laptop you send in helps twice. First, it keeps harmful e-waste out of landfills. Second, it raises money for animal welfare.
That’s the heart of Rescue Recycle: you protect the planet and help pets at the same time.
What’s Next
This is just the start. With your help, we want to:
- Increase monthly mail-in shipments
- Refurbish and responsibly recycle even more devices
- Grow our donations to shelters and rescues across the region
- Share more “Donation Day” stories so you can see the animals you’re helping
Do you have old devices and electronics you’re ready to donate?
